UK? OK!! Non-Format!!
Non-Format never stop and we think it’s OK!! The studio designed a poster and t-shirt for the UK? OK!! exhibition of British graphic designers at Parco Factory, Tokyo.
Taking inspiration from the notion of Axis Thinking (the brainchild of frequent Bowie collaborator Brian Eno) the design depicts a series of mixers with sliders positioned so as to describe each Bowie album within Non-Format’s own framework of extremes.
The t-shirt is produced and sold by BEAMS.

Adrian Johnson sees eye to eye with Darcel!
The ever disappointed Darcel (created by Craig Redman of Rinzen) has been asking a different friend each month to create an image incorporating and interacting with him. We hope Darcel approves of Adrian Johnson’s contribution this month as much as we do! You can view more Rock of Eye artists submissions including: Karl Maier, Alex Trochut, Deanne Cheuk & Adrian Clifford on Darcel’s blog.

Vault49's Route
Mixed media design studio, Vault49, crafted a map of the USA featuring seven scenic routes in detail for car company Hyundai. The final model included laser cut elevations, a gravel shoreline, matchstick camp fires and hand drawn elements. If Hyundai happen to leave a car outside our office with the keys inside… we know which route to take.

Craig & Karl Blackmail us!
Craig Redman & Karl Maier of design studio Rinzen feature in issue 012 of online culture commentators, The Blackmail. The Blackmail shares the latest in Australian based popular culture. Each month they list 10 of the best exhibitions, concerts, shows, films, records, literature, releases & events. Craig & Karl chat between themselves about their creative development as a part of Rinzen & as partners in exhibiting crime!
Their collaborative show, Pick Me Up' opened on July 1 at Monster Children Gallery in Sydney. The show is a ‘result of a year-long visual conversation between the two of us. Weekly, we traded artwork via email that served as both an update on each other’s lives and a commentary on the different, yet similar, worlds around us’. ‘Pick Me up’ runs until July 16. Insightful!
